Do I have to join a regional, state or national realtor association?

Since Open MLS NC presented by Triangle Home Enterprises is an MLS-only firm, agents are not required to join any realtor associations. This allows agents to redirect those fees toward marketing, business growth, and other revenue-generating activities.

What fees should I expect? What about hidden costs?

The yearly administrative fee with Open MLS NC presented by Triangle Home Enterprises is $600. Period. Clean math. The fee can be paid monthly, quarterly or from the first commission. There are no hidden fees. As an Open MLS–only firm, agents are responsible for maintaining their own MLS dues and e-signature platform, such as DocuSign.

Do I have to sign a contract? What if I do not like the firm and want to leave before the contract is over?

All agents sign a contract that includes the Triangle Home Enterprises handbook. Agents can cancel their contract at any time with written notice and are allowed to take their listings with them if they choose to leave.

What is the commission split and cap?

The commission split is 95% of every transaction to the agent and 5% of every transaction to Triangle Home Enterprises (the firm). The cap to the firm is $15,000 yearly. Once the cap is reached, 100% of commission is retained by the agent. Period. Clean math.

Can I build my own brand and do you provide leads?

Agents are encouraged to build and grow their own personal brand through social media, listing promotion, advertising, and design. Because of the structure of Triangle Home Enterprises, the firm does not provide leads to individual agents, giving you full control over how you generate and manage your business.

Is there compliance support?

Absolutely! The Broker-in-Charge reviews every document submitted by agents promptly. If any issues arise, the BIC contacts the agent immediately to ensure all paperwork is complete and ready well before closing.
